McCurdy Mission Trip opportunity, NOW in October.

Good Shepherd UMC is sponsoring an UMVIM trip to McCurdy School in Espanola, New Mexico,  October 17-23. They have room for 6-8 more adults and will be doing a variety of work, yard work, painting, cleaning, etc. Of course, they are always happy to put carpenters, plumbers, and electricians to work, too. One doesn't have to be licensed, but one's work should be capable of passing inspection.  They would love to take a full team.  If you are interested contact; Mary Ann Tabor, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. In conjunction with this trip we will be collecting supplies and funds for the McCurdy School over the summer.  There will be a bin in the great room for supplies and the Kettle Koins for scholarship funds. (see below for supply list) You can also put scholarship funds in the offering basket.  Please mark on the memo line that the gift is for McCurdy.  Last year we were able to provide a scholarship for a student in need.  Tuition is $5,250 for a high school student this year and there are many families in need.

The Following Items are needed for the McCurdy School:

Pocket folders (either plain or the 3-prong)

Loose-leaf paper

Single subject notebooks

Colored pencils and markers

Permanent markers, Sharpie pens (both thick and fine point)

Black or blue ink pens

Mechanical pencils

5x8 ruled index cards

Composition notebooks

Dry Erase markers (big need for teachers) and erasers for      whiteboards

KLEENEX, KLEENEX, KLEENEX

Sanitizing wipes

Hand sanitizer

1 & 2 inch 3-ring binders

Construction paper

Staples, jumbo paper clips & binder clips

Copy paper

Glue sticks

Scotch Tape, both filler and on dispensers

The items NOT NEEDED at this time are pencils, glue and crayons.
