Hope Restored Disaster Relief Firewood Extravaganza

Help is needed to:
• Identify names of people who need free, split firewood to to heat their homes this winter. Senior citizens, widows, people with disabilities, and others who really need firewood
• Drive your own truck or trailer to pick up a load of wood from a specific address in Black Forest on Oct. 26 and deliver it to a given address.
• The firewood will be loaded into your truck or trailer for you in Black Forest, but you’ll need to unload it at the destination.

Contact Lisa Hatfield at 719-488-0786 home or  to find out how to participate on Oct. 26.•

ALSO: Any teen/young adult volunteers looking for community service hours on Saturdays in Sept - Oct could help move logs closer to where they can be split by other volunteers. Write to Byron Spinney at  to find out more about the extra Sept/Oct work dates/locations.)
