Welcome Message

Welcome to Tri-Lakes United Methodist Church. We hope you’ll take the opportunity to explore all the ministries and opportunities for worship, learning, growth, and service in these pages, and then we hope you will join us for worship either in person at one of our three Sunday services or online on our YouTube channel.

As a church grounded in the Methodist tradition, we value scriptural teaching, intentional disciple-making, gracious hospitality, and neighborhood service. Our mission is to build up followers of Jesus Christ who love and serve God and neighbor through acts of worship, devotion, compassion, and service. Check out the welcome video from our pastor, Dr. Bob Kaylor and be our guest at a service sometime soon. We look forward to meeting you!

Rev. Dr. Bob Kaylor

Lead Pastor, Tri-Lakes United Methodist Church

What is Connections?

Want to learn more about TLUMC? Come to this quarterly gathering with the church staff and leaders. We meet at Pastor Bob’s house for hors-d’oeuvres, dessert, and fellowship. We will share with you TLUMC’s core vision, values, and beliefs as well as our membership process. For more information contact Rob Pennison.

Our next Connections gathering will be on April 23rd @ 4:00 - 5:30 PM.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the 3 morning services?

8:00 and 11:00 am Services:
The music in these services is more traditional and accompanied by organ music. We sing from the hymnal a few times during the service. There is a children's message before the kids are excused for Children's Worship. Then Pastor Bob preaches a sermon.

9:30 Service:

The music in this service is much more contemporary and is led by our worship band. You can expect to see many people dressed casually and sipping coffee as they enter.

All services serve communion each week. Everyone is welcome to take communion from the Lord's table.

What do you offer for children and youth?

Children and youth Sunday school classes are available during the 9:30 service. Children meet in the Faith Forest (1st hallway on the right as you enter the building) and youth meet in the classrooms on the lower level of the building. Nursery care is available for ages 0-5 at all three services.  Please visit our Children and Youth pages for more information.

What do I wear?

We hope you come to church in whatever makes you feel comfortable. We care more about you and your relationship with Jesus than what you look like. Our only request is that you do wear clothes :-)

Where do I go when I get there?

We have a large parking lot with plenty of space. New Visitor Parking is marked with signs towards the front of the building. Our Welcome Desk is located right as you walk in the door. Please stop by to check in and get more information!

What happens next?

As you enter one of the services an usher will hand you a weekly bulletin. Please let an usher know if you have special seating needs such as a wheelchair or hearing aid. During the first part of service ushers will pass out red friendship books. Please complete the attendance form inside so we know you stopped by!  You can also fill out the friendship card, located in your bulletin.  If you have a prayer request, this is also located in the bulletin. We hope you enjoy our church community and we look forward to seeing you soon!
