Rev. Jim Ward
Lead Pastor
Rev. Jim Ward is a Colorado native. He grew up in suburban Denver and attended the University of Denver, where he received a degree in finance.
After a 20+ year real estate career in Denver, he belatedly answered God’s call to ministry and entered the pastorate in 2007.
After completing his United Methodist course of studies at the St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Chicago, he served as an Associate Pastor, sole-pastor, and Senior Pastor at churches in Denver.
From 2014-2023, he was Director of Mission and Ministry at Eaton Senior Communities in Lakewood, CO, a faith-based non-profit focused on providing affordable housing options for at-risk seniors, and as pastor of its affiliated West Alameda Community Church, an American Baptist congregation.
Pastor Jim arrived at Tri-Lakes United Methodist church in July 2023. His pastoral ministry is grounded in biblical preaching and teaching, intentional discipleship opportunities for all ages, and a passionate commitment to mission and outreach.
